Sinčić Ćorić: „Croatia can be profiled as an economic, tourism and cultural brand in Europe“
Representatives of the political, economic and tourist sector discussed the challenges of the EU presidency for international positioning of Croatia on the roundtable within the 3rd CMF.
Croatia will take over the presidency of the European Union on 1 January 2020. Along with Brussels, Zagreb will become the capital of Europe for the six months. What challenges will carry the EU presidency have been discussed on the roundtable within the Communication Management Forum: Marija Pejčinović Burić (Croatian Government and Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs), Zvonimir Frka Petešić (Croatian Prime Minister's Office), Kristjan Staničić (Croatian Tourist Board), Ivan Barbarić (Croatian Chamber of Economy) and Dubravka Sinčić Ćorić, PhD (Working Group of the President for identity and brand development of the Republic of Croatia). Round table „Croatia 2020: Challenges of the EU Presidency for International Positioning“ have brought a unique conclusion –Croatia's ahead of historic opportunity to use the European Union's 2020 Presidency to profile itself as an economic, tourism and cultural brand in Europe.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Marija Pejčinović Burić said that "the presidency is a great challenge for Croatia, but also a huge opportunity for promotion". Working Group of the President for identity and brand development of the Republic of Croatia stressed that we need to develop a brand that is different from competitors brands and is attracting similar investors.
