Associate Professor Dan Podjed, PhD is one of the keynote speakers at the Communication Management Forum 2021.

Associate Professor Dan Podjed, PhD is a European anthropologist dedicated to developing of ethnography-based solutions and innovative research methods at the intersection of different scientific fields, who will give a lecture on "Understanding Homo covidensis - a human of the Covid Age" as a keynote speaker at this year's edition of the Communication Management Forum on March 19.

He is a Research Fellow at the Research Center of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts, Associate Professor at the University of Ljubljana's Faculty of Arts and Senior Research Advisor at the Institute for Innovation and Development of the University of Ljubljana. He has led several applied, interdisciplinary and industry-oriented projects, and has contributed to the development of technological products and solutions in many EU projects. He acted as a Convenor of the EASA Applied Anthropology Network from its inception in 2010 until 2018 and continues his involvement as one of the Executive Advisors of the network.

In 2013 he was the founder and from 2013 to 2018 the organizer of the international event Why the World Needs Anthropologists, which has become the most important meeting point for applied anthropologists in Europe and beyond. In 2020, his book Indoor Anthropology (Slovenian: Antropologija med štirimi stenami) was published, in which he presented to the public how he came to know society and himself during the Covid-19 pandemic. In his most recent book, Why the World Needs Anthropologists, he brought together the leading experts in to highlight the value of anthropology in today's world.

You can still join scientists and experts in the fourth edition of the conference by submitting an abstract until January 31, 2020, and abstracts proposed for the conference must be based on current and original research by the author, 300 to 500 words, with a clear goal and purpose, clear methodology, key results and practical application and social significance of the work itself.
